Mountain Bike remains one of the best ways to explore the Kyrgyzstan. A beautiful route between canyons (Morocco style), high green meadows, snow-capped mountains, rivers, lakes.
We will go to meet the nomadic Kyrgyz, their yurt camps to the rhythm of our ride. Our agency has a fleet of Mountain Bikes and you can make them available. So, no worries of transport Cycling in Kyrgyzstan !
Day 1: Fly to Bishkek
Day 2 : Bishkek
Arrival in Bishkek Kyrgyzstan capital. City tour (bazar, parc …). Night at our guestshouse.
Day 3: Sussamyr Valley – Kekemeren Canyon
Transfer to Tuy Ashu pass (3 700 meters) and ride down the Sussamyr valley and Campsite beside the kekemeren river.
Day 4 : Kekemeren – Karakeche
Trail in the jumgal valley. Campsite down Karakeche pass.
Day 5 : Karakeche – Song Koul
Clim the Karakeche pass. On the top great view on the Song Koul lake. Free ride down the lake.
Day 6 – 7 : Song Koul heart of Kyrgyzstan
2 days in this great environment. The nature is so nice ….. Ride through the yurts camp. Halt in yurt, meet the nomads and theirt life. The nomads spend 4 months in this paradise. Campsite around the lake
Day 8: Song Koul – Sary Bulak
Climb to the Kalmakashu pass (3 800 meters). Ride down the valley to reach Sary Bulak village. Campsite beside the river
Day 9 -10 – 11: Sary Bulak – Karakaman
3 days riding in the high valley of Kitchy Naryn (more than 3 000 meters). The trail is great, we cross village, yaks drove.. Campsite
Day 12- : Toosr Pass
A big pass today at 3 900 meters ! and on the Issyk Soul side 2 000 meters downhill !Camp in the valley
Day 13 : Issyk Koul
Ride to Issyk Koul. Issyk Koul is the second biggest lake of altitude after the Titicaca lake. It’s lengh 180 km, and deep of 700 m. The water is great 21 ° at 1670 meters altitude. Around the lake mountains at more than 45OO meters. Campsite on the beach.
Day 14: Issyk Koul
Trek in the canyon, bath are the main activities of relaxing day. Same campsite.
Day 15: Issyk Koul – Bishkek
Transfer to Bishkek, night at our guest house.
Day 16: Fly back to Europe

In Guest House for nights spent in Bishkek . Subject yurts and homestay .
Catering:
Kitchen ” outdoor” prepared by your guides for lunch , homestay for dinner .

This trip takes place in mountain , it is expected to warm days but quite cool mountain nights .

Steps 60 – 120 km tarred road and wheel tracks are planned ( track 8 -9 j – 10-11). In J9 , track and rolling little difficult to climb Kyz Art.
Formalities:
To get in Kyrgyzstan , you must have a passport valid for 6 months after return date Obligation to have a travel insurance repatriation
Personal equipment:
Ditto a cycling holiday in the highlands ( warm clothes and summer season ) .
Cycling equipment:
The agency has mountain bike (Giant) . Renting vtc is possible which avoids problems with air transport . In this case, the booking of bicycles must be one month before departure.
Healthcare / Pharmaceuticals / vaccines :
No vaccinations are compulsory in Kyrgyzstan . Tetanus vaccination is strongly recommended for any outdoor activity .
The organization provides a collective pharmacy , but we recommend you bring an individual pharmacy including:
– Personal medicine
– A good sunscreen
– A spare pair of glasses for those involved
A small tour to the dentist for a check is not negligible , do not rely on local dentists!
Be careful you will find yourself at altitudes between 2000 and 3500 meters.
Climate:
Predominance of weather ( hot and dry ) summer, the nights are cool enough altitude .
Currency:
Som (about $ 1 USD = 69 som € = 78 soms )
The us $ and Euros can be exchanged at all banks and exchange offices in Bishkek .. It is also possible to withdraw money from teller machines ( they are still very few)
